Retrospect is a highly reliable software solution that enables you to not only create backups, but also remove the obsolete ones.



The graphic interface of Retrospect is intuitive and user-friendly, and you can easily start creating a new task for every backup you want to create, be it a folder located on your PC, a virtual machine or a network place.



Once you have chosen the source data, you need to specify the type of files you want to backup, like pictures, music, videos, office documents or other formats. Next, you need to select the target location for the backup, such as hard drives on your PC or on the network, as well as optical drives or removable ones.



At this point, you need to mention the type of encryption you consider to be the most suitable for your backup (such as password-protection, SimpleCrypt, DES, AES-128 or AES-256), as well as the compression type.



Additionally, you can specify the action that Retrospect should take when the target drive runs out of space - it can either request a new drive or it can erase the oldest backups and keep only the latest few.
